Obituary

CORRIGAN, Alice M., of Wantagh, NY, on October 31, 2020 at age 102. Beloved wife of James F. Corrigan (deceased). Devoted mother of James (Phyllis), Peter (Mary), Thomas (Christine), Eileen Scofield (Mark), Kathleen Bopp (Charles), and Jeanne Waters (Ray). Cherished grandmother of 13 and great- grandmother of 9. Loving sister of Margaret Tolsdorf and Maureen Glanz. Loving sister-in-law of Adele Dunne and Pauline Salmon. Predeceased by her brothers John Young, Rev. Robert Young, and Edward Young. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Graduate of Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing. Her nursing career included working at Mary Immaculate Hospital and as a nurse in the Wantagh School District at Sunrise Park and Mandalay elementary schools. Alice was an original member of the St. Frances de Chantal parish. She was an active member of the St. Frances de Chantal Building Committee, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister, a prayer group member, and a member of the Ministry of Consolation. Alice also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and the Wantagh Schools United Retirees. Family will receive friends Thursday, 2-4:30 pm and 6-9:30 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 603 Wantagh Avenue Wantagh, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 10:00 am, at St. Frances de Chantal R.C. Church.
