Anyone who knows Alice will always remember her amazing smile and that undeniable twinkle in her beautiful eyes! Anyone who ever bowled with Alice in the Wantagh Schools League will also remember and treasure her very unique bowling style, her little “hop” and the long, slow roll of her very accurate bowling ball! Wonderful memories of a very special lady! Love you, Alice! xxMarybeth

“May the dreams you hold dearest be those that come true, and the kindness you spread keep returning to you.” – An Irish blessing
Love, faith, and compassion shone through every aspect of Grandma’s life. During her 102 years, she lived passionately and with a clear purpose. Grandma’s nursing career, which took her from Mary Immaculate to Mandalay elementary school in Wantagh, capitalized on her kindness, determination, and commitment to serving others. An active parishioner at St. Frances de Chantal, Grandma had great faith and spent the majority of her years “offering up” the sweeter treats in life. A lifelong learner, Newsday’s print circulation benefitted from Grandma’s unquenchable thirst for knowledge (e.g., “What is vaping?”). Grandma loved visiting with her close friends and family, and absolutely lit up when spending time with her great-grandchildren.
More than anything, Grandma found joy in her wonderful husband, Jim (aka Grandpa), and their amazing six children. Grandma spoke often of how lucky she was to have met fun-loving Grandpa and for the incredible family that they built together, filled with lots of love, hilarious hijinks, and immense gratitude. Grandma and Grandpa, thanks for making it all happen.
Love,
Your favorite grandchild
