FOWLER - Robert J., Age 83, of Levittown, NY, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed on June 3, 2020, in eternal peace. Beloved husband of Maureen for 55 years; loving father of Debbie and John (Raven); and treasured grandfather of Rebecca and Shauna. Robert is loved and missed by the members of his extended family and friends. As a man of faith, Robert devoted his time to the Knights of Columbus for over 58 years and was a Third Degree member. Robert was a proud NYPD Police Officer for over 25 years. His foundation in law enforcement served him well after his retirement from the NYPD. Robert had a second career at LIJ Hospital working over 20 years in security. After numerous promotions, he reached the position of Assistant Director of Security. He spent an additional 15 years working with two private security firms. Throughout his careers he touched many lives and was cherished by all his colleagues and friends. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and great sense of humor. A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
