JJ was my Lieutenant in the New York City Transit Police. A better boss, and even a better man, you could not find. Rest in peace my friend

The Executive Board and members of the NYC Retired Transit Police Officers offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to the Murray family on John's passing. John came on and served the NYC Transit Police Department in 1966 and retired from the NYPD after the merger in 1995. May he rest in peace with his wife, Marilyn.

To John's Family,
John was a good man and kind neighbor. He lived across the street from my family and me. I remember seeing John walking his dog (Jersey), and his previous dogs, down and around the block. He loved his dogs! I remember him leaving for the beach on summer days, leaving for church, working on his car and seeing him set up his holiday decorations outside of his house. He kept himself busy! He would always make a point of waving and saying hello to everyone! May he rest in peace with Marilyn.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Nancy and family
