Barkman-William D., of Wantagh, NY passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Dianne. Loving father of Cindy Cooley (Larry), Susan Mantovani (David) and the late Robin Altadonna. Cherished grandfather of Katelyn Metz (Ryan), Lacey Rogers (Doug), and Georgie Mantovani. Adored brother of Pat Bainbridge (Jay) and Kathy Flint (Dennis). William was an Annapolis graduate who proudly served in the United State Navy. After a long career at Grumman Aerospace, William enjoyed retirement playing golf, hunting and spending time with his family. Family will receive friends Monday, 2 pm-4 pm & 7:00 pm - 9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 603 Wantagh Ave. (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY. Religious service will be held at 8:00 pm at Charles J. O’Shea funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, 9:30 am-10:00 am. at Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home. Final Prayers 10:00 am.
