I wanted to share a few memories that always bring me comfort. Grandpa and I would have movie night once a week growing up. He showed me all the classics such as Abbott and Costello meet the wolf man , psycho and jaws. Grandpa would always fall asleep after my mom would tell him to not let me watch certain parts of the movie ! We always had a slice of Mrs Smith apple pie With vanilla ice cream.
My grandpa took pride in his movies. He had cabinets full of movies that were numbered and labeled alphabetically ordered in binders. He would always know if something went missing ha ha.
Grandpa loved to eat, especially when his family would gather on Sundays for pasta and other dishes that my grandma would make. Sundays were my favorite. I loved being around my family and just watching my grandpa eat while we all talked so loud.
I love my grandpa so much and I love the way he loved Me. It taught me how to have a lot of compassion for other people at such a young age.
