Obituary
Carol Ann di Monda, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 1, 2024 after a life well-lived. She was born to Andrew and Ann Treska on November 4, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY. Carol grew up in North Bellmore, NY, and graduated from Mepham High School in 1960, where she was a majorette, played several sports, and was a top academic student. She married Phil di Monda and raised her family on Hollyhock Road in Levittown, NY. A devoted member of the community, Carol attended St. Bernard’s Church in Levittown and Maria Regina Church in Seaford.
Carol began her successful career as a Nationwide Insurance agent in January 1987, retiring in 2022 after decades of dedicated service. Carol was a trail blazer in the business receiving many awards. She was also a pillar of the Levittown Athletic Club, where she played a key role in running the league, organizing team parades, and managing the concession stand. Her passion for teaching twirling brought joy to many, and she greatly valued the lifelong friendships she built through her quilting club and her bowling league.
In 2022, Carol moved to Pompano Beach, Florida, where she spent her days soaking up the sun and enjoying precious moments with her family and grandchildren. Her warmth, energy, and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her children, Andrew di Monda of Northport, NY, Joseph di Monda of Marriottsville, MD, and Jill di Monda of Higganum, CT, and predeceased by her daughter Judy Wuerth. She leaves behind her sister Kathleen Powell of Norwalk, CT, and her cherished grandchildren: Samantha Mandracchia, Joseph Mandracchia, Andrew di Monda, Owen Daley, Haley di Monda, Kristen Daley, Emma di Monda, Lily di Monda, and Joseph Daley.
