Obituary
Giangrasso – Germaine of Wantagh passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with breast cancer on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the age of 68.
Germaine was welcomed into heaven with open arms and is reunited with the love of her life, Dave, her loving sister Donna and mother, Marion.
Germaine is the beloved mother of David Shelly and his partner Amanda Koenig. Cherished daughter of Jerome and the late Marion Giangrasso. Adored sister of Greg Giangrasso, Gerri Churneftsky and the late Donna Collins. Loving aunt to her dear nieces and nephews. A loyal and beautiful friend to so many. Germaine was the life of the party, the sunshine to many of our lives who brightened up any room with her energy and radiant smile. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Traveling, spending time at the beach and listening to Billy Joel. Germaine loved to cook and feed you her Sunday Sauce and Italian Wedding Soup. But her most favorite thing was playing with her fur baby Cooper. Germaine will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. To know Germaine, was to love her.
Please join us on Saturday, June 29th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes. Religious services will be held at 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to some charities near and dear to Germaine’s heart.
