Obituary
Philip Russo, of Wantagh, NY, formerly of Ozone Park, passed away on June 19, 2024 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Frances for 57 years. Devoted father of Angelo (Andrea) and Jospehine (the late Barry). Loving grandfather of Johnathan, Philip, Andrew, Christian, and Brendan. Cherished brother of Dorothy (the late Paul) Genova. Born and raised in Sicily, Philip migrated to America when he was 27. He married Frances and they bestowed their children the deep and beautiful heritage that was imparted upon them. Philip could build anything. As a master carpenter by trade, each room in their house was touched by his gifted hands. When he wasn't working, he was watching Italian Football and screaming at the TV. But his true love was his family. He was gentle but firm and we are proud to call him dad. We will treasure him for the rest of our days, and continue his traditions that make us who we are.
