Beverly Adele McCarthy in her 97th year of East Islip on May 29, 2024. Mrs. McCarthy was a proud and active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the East Islip Fire Department for over 65 years. Mrs. McCarthy taught 5th grade for 26 years, with many people wanting their kids in her class. The children loved and respected her. Beverly loved boating and fishing on the bay. Beloved wife of the late Eugen McCarthy. Loving mother of the late Joseph Eugene McCarthy, Jeanne Lorraine Barnard (John) and Dennis J. McCarthy. Cherished grandmother of Leila Adele Seyfert (Dan) and James Eugene Barnard (Sarah). Adored great grandmother of Cerenity Olsen, Marcus Seyfert and Cody James Barnard. Fond sister of the late Edward Free (Lois). The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5, 2024 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Albrecht, Bruno & O'Shea Funeral Homes, Inc,; 62 Carleton Avenue; East Islip, New York (2 miles south of exit 43-A Southern State Parkway.) Also Thursday morning 9:00 - 9:30 A.M. Services will be conducted at the funeral home 8:00 p.m. Wednesday by the Ladies Auxiliary of the East Islip Fire Department. Followed by a Religious Service with The Reverend Edwin Beckham Officiating. Interment 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead, New York.
