Obituary

Karen Ann Buesing, born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Jan. 6, 1961, died on Feb. 14, 2024, with her loving family by her bedside in East Meadow, New York. She was 63 years old. Karen is survived by her husband, Michael, and their three grown children Dana, Alyssa and Michael; her brothers Robert (wife Maribel), Kenneth (wife Kathy) and William (wife Michelle); her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Diane and Denis, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Angela and George Buesing. Karen was the daughter of William and Victoria Borruso (both deceased), who raised her in Valley Stream, N.Y.She graduated from Katharine Gibbs and became an executive secretary for McGraw Hill in New York City. She married Michael in June of 1983 and worked at home raising their children for several years before becoming the Assistant to the Principal of Clarke Middle School in the East Meadow district. She was a beautiful and resilient woman, a devoted wife, an idolized mother, a-treasured sister, a beloved daughter-in-law, a revered sister-in-law, a cherished aunt, a dear friend, and an honorable daughter who took care of her ailing parents in their times of need. Karen’s spirit will be ever-present in the lives of her family and friends she leaves behind, until we all meet again.
