John G. Brennan, of East Rockaway NY and retired in Wantagh NY passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 86. John loved spending his free time with family creating precious memories and telling stories for hours at a time. He was a football all-star athlete in high school, drafted into the army in his senior year of high school where he continued to play football. After leaving the army, John was introduced to Patricia by his cousin, and they were married and shared 63 years together. There was never a stranger in the room with John, and he loved meeting and talking with people to share stories. John spent his business career interacting with people in his premium painting business, over 45 years as an Usher at the Nassau Coliseum and directing people at the Jones Beach theater. One of John’s hobbies was creating his Christmas village to show family and friends during the holidays. Each house, building, person, bench, and car had a specific purpose in the village with a story to tell. John’s other hobby was watching college football and he was a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football. John attended many football games at Notre Dame stadium with his family. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving father of Doreen, John, the late James, and Nancy. Proud grandfather to Tara, Krista, Emily, Matthew, Elizabeth, and Stephen. Great-grandfather to Bellamy Rose. John will be missed by all those whose lives he so gracefully touched. Mass of Christian Burial, on February 5th at 9:45am, at Maria Regina R.C. Church in Seaford NY.
