Coupe-John A., of Wantagh, NY, passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 60. Beloved husband of Laura. Loving father of Jack. Cherished brother of Leanne Coupe, Linnea Hagstrom, and Kristin Hutt. Treasured nephew, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. Adored by his parents, George Alfred Coupe and Leah Carolyn Rydquist Coupe, who predeceased him. John was a dedicated Nassau County police officer for 27 years, who served his community with pride and care. He was compassionate, hard-working, fun-loving and always up for a laugh. His quick wit, sense of humor, and impish smile was infectious and entertained all who knew him. He possessed a unique ability to make connections with people from all walks of life and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. John’s greatest love in life was his family, including his beloved dogs. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.
