In Loving Memory of Catherine Margaret Hunt Catherine, the beloved wife of late John and devoted mother to John, Gerald, Daniel, and Matthew, passed away on November 26th, 2023 at the age of 84. Born on July 13th, 1939 to Margaret and Francis McGourty and raised in the South Bronx. Cathy’s loving home shaped her into a woman of resilience and compassion. Catherine dedicated an incredible 41 years of her life to the noble profession of nursing, specifically in labor and delivery. Her unwavering commitment and skill brought countless new lives into the world, leaving a legacy of care and comfort for generations to come. A proud resident of Wantagh, NY, Cathy cultivated a loving home where she raised her four sons. Cathy’s legacy lives on through the love and memories she shared with her four grandchildren, Sean, Jessica, William, and Alison. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of friends and neighbors. Catherine's warm embrace created a haven for all who entered. Cathy Hunt will be remembered for her boundless love, her nurturing presence, and the countless lives she touched both in the delivery room and within the embrace of her family. The family expresses gratitude for the love and support extended during this challenging time.
