Obituary

ESPERTO – Karen A., 80, passed away on August 6, 2023. Karen worked hard her whole life first supporting her children after unexpectedly losing her beloved husband George at a very young age. She worked many years for her uncle in his ophthalmology office and later at the courts in Hempstead for over 20 years. Karen enjoyed being with her entire family, traveling with her sisters and friends and loved spending time in the Hamptons. Karen will be very missed by her family and friends, leaving behind her children, Deborah and Tim, his wife, Irene, and her grandchildren, Jonathan, Wayne, and Devin. She also leaves behind her son Joseph, with whom she was recently reunited, and her granddaughter, Heather, and four great grandchildren. Karen is survived by her sisters, MaryLou, Lois and Eileen. Karen was predeceased by her sister Denise and her parents, Raymond and Agnes Kelly. Karen will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Karen‘s family will celebrate her life Sunday, August 13, 2023, 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 2515 N. Jerusalem Rd. (Exit 25N SS PKWY) East Meadow, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 11:15 am, at St. Raphael R.C. Church. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, NY.
