Gregory J. Fleming, Jr., age 88, of Point Lookout, NY, passed away July 1, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Agnes Fleming. Gregory is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Rosemary Fleming, and his sister, Anita Fleming, his loving daughters Christine (Mark) Bailey and Lauren (Peter) Eschmann, and his son, Stephen (Tracey) Fleming as well as 11 grandchildren, Abigail, Madeline, Kathryn, Jack, Andrew, Ethan, Tyler, Eileen, Colin, Kiera and Matthew, who were the love of his life. Gregory was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Long Island where he attended college at Hofstra University and his eventual enrollment in the United States Army. Gregory would marry Rosemary on June 29, 1963 and he would then settle down in his cherished town of Point Lookout, NY where he would reside for the remainder of his life. Gregory was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle and sincere friend to countless many. He was an avid golfer and would hit the links at every chance often teeing up just as the sun came up. He was loved by all that came across him and his smile and laugh were known to lighten the mood in any room. We will gather to celebrate his life July 7, 2023 4:00pm - 7:00pm O’Shea Funeral Home at 603 Wantagh Avenue, NY 11793. A mass will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 75 Parkside Drive, Point Lookout, NY 11569 on July 8, 2023 at 9:00am. Final resting place following the mass at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590.
