Obituary

KOPP – Kenneth N., better known to his friends as Kenny and Poppy to his loving family of Ridge, NY on March 3, 2023, at the age of 80. Devoted husband of Jeannie. Beloved father of Michael (Emily), Christine (Tom) Musachio, Suzanne (Frank) Palagano, and Karen (Chris) Acquilino. Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Hugo), Megan, Jaclyn, Joseph, Jake, Nicholas, Travis, the late Brian, Hope, Kendra, and Landon. Loving great grandfather of Sofia. Adored brother of Diane Hackmack. A wonderful friend to many. Kenny worked for FDNY; after a 20-year career with them, he retired and went on to work as a Fire Marshall for the NYRA. He had many loves in life but his greatest love in life was being “Poppy, the man, the myth, the legend ” to his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Poppy cherished the value of family, the gift of love and the pleasure of friendship. His memory will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all those who knew him.
