SANTARPIA – Fred, Jr., of Wantagh, NY passed away peacefully on February 26, 2023, at the age of 81. Cherished husband to Lorraine - whom he shared fifty-seven beautiful years - and adored father to Steven (Sarah), Joseph (Jessica), and late son Freddie, as well as a loving grandfather to his grandchildren Joseph, Anthony, Tessa, Noah, and Luca. Beloved brother of Thomas (Virginia) and the late Anthony. He worked for the NY Transit Police, retiring as a Sergeant after 23 years and was a proud US Army Veteran. Fred always put family first throughout his life. Fred also enjoyed life's simple pleasures; he cherished time spent spoiling his dogs just as much as watching baseball or taking trips out to Atlantic City. However, it all paled in comparison to the joy he held most dear – being an amazing grandfather – ‘Poppy’ – forever engrained in his grandchildrens’ lives. His memory will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed throughout generations ahead here on Earth – as we wait to rejoice together eternally above in Heaven.
