We are so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. He was always a little rough around the edges but his core and heart were always in the right place…his love of family and friends. We enjoyed our many trips together commuting on the LIRR over the years, and kept in touch periodically over the few years since our retirements and his move to Wantaugh. He loved to complain about something, and was it easy to plant a few comments to get him started. It added a lively discussion to an otherwise boring routine trip to and from Manhattan. He always had a genuine interest in other people and what was happening in their lives. His love and pride of family was evident every time he would talk about them. They were the only thing he never complained about. Rest In Peace Tony.

Please accept my sincere condolences! I am so very sorry for your loss.
I am still finding it difficult to grasp at hearing the sad, sad news. I have such wonderful memories of Tony, from the days that we played softball together, to our impromptu lunch meetings at his office up in the Diamond District. I will always remember his kind nature and great sense of humor. He will always be remembered. I am so lucky to have been a friend.
Rest in peace, Dear Friend!

My condolences to Mary & the Lauro family! I met Tony on the LIRR years ago with Robin & the crew and we automatically became friends! I just spoke to Tony on Wednesday morning and he sounded great and we had a lot of laughs! He said he felt good and he told me that Mary was sick and he was taking care of her. So to hear this was a shock! Tony’s bark was worse than his bite - he had the biggest heart and how he loved Mary and his beautiful family!! He spoke of each of you always with love and double that love for his beloved grandchildren! I hope & pray in the days to come the heartbreak in your hearts will be replaced with the memories of the love each of you shared with Tony- husband, Dad and grandpa- and hold it in your hearts along with him. God bless & May Tony Rest In Eternal Peace
With love

Mary and family: sending prayers for you all and thinking of you at this very difficult time. We only met while on a cruise a couple of years ago, but it was easy to see that Tony was a wonderful man! May your memories turn your tears to smiles, and your faith, family and friends bring you peace.
