Good bye for now my dear friend George!
I enjoyed the last few years together chatting and even texting about any and all things. It was my honor and privilege to know you. I will miss your wonderful stories and you had many from all your travels to the history of the neighborhood.
Everyday I look at your house next door or walk by I will waive to my friend in the kitchen eating Entenmann’s cake dropping crumbs lol.
May your family have comfort knowing you were a wonderful man always. Thank your for introducing your family to mine and I will always remember your 90th birthday party seeing your family and how proud they are of you as you were very proud of them.
Saying goodbye isn’t for us George. Instead, I will say that I look forward to seeing my friend again, each time I may be reminded of him through watching soccer, seeing anything Army related, a joke or those Mets that can’t win despite themselves. These are the things that will keep us close despite death.
