John S. Alaia formally of Levittown passed away peacefully in his Myrtle Beach home on September 14, 2022, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Barbara for 64 years. Cherised father of Donna (Pete) Cestare, Laurie (Nick) Gagliano, John (Jennifer), Thomas, Fran (Gary) Mancz. Adored grandfather of John, Lauren, Jade, Stephanie, Christopher and Jaelyn. Loving great grandfather of Ava, Ophelia, Kyleigh, Khole, Amelia, Joey and Elyse. Dear brother of Patsy (Alexis). Predeceased by his brother Anthony (late Ruth). John grew up in Westbury. Proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He married his childhood sweetheart and moved to Levittown to raise a family. He worked for Lilco for 36 years, upon retirement John relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with the love of his life, where he lived the rest of his years enjoying all the wonderful things life had to offer. John cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
