Alfred F. Bruning 1937 - 2022 Alfred F. Bruning, Al (”Uncle Al the kiddies pal” or “Big Al”) of Wantagh, NY, passed away on September 15, 2022. He was peaceful at his home with his beloved black labrador retriever by his side. Alfred was predeceased by his sister Marilyn MacDonald, brothers Charles and Donald Bruning, and parents Alfred and Olga Bruning. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Bruning, sister Diane Boettcher, children John (Lita), Maria (Earl), Margaret (Paul), niece Gilda (John) whom he loved as his daughter, grandchildren William (Danny) & Serena. Alfred loved all his family and friends deeply and unconditionally. He was a kind and compassionate man and always supported his loved ones. Al shared his musical talents at parties and many social events. Hearing him play the piano or accordion always put a big smile on your face and in your heart. He loved all of his pets and was a great supporter of animal rescue/ shelters. Al had his adopted dog by his side when he was taken home to be with the Lord. There are many words to describe Alfred, kind, compassionate, fun, gentle, and talented are only a few. He touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.
