Obituary

Thomas D. Masino, a long time resident of Wantagh, NY, passed away suddenly on November 11, 2021 at the age of 68. He was beloved by his wife Nancy. Treasured by his children Krista Williams (Jonathan) and Matthew. A proud grandfather of Genevieve. Adored brother of Carmela Dargan (the late Ricky), Mary Ann Back (Richard), Diane, Frank (Karen), and Susan Meyer (Erick). Tom was born in Brooklyn, NY where he attended St. Francis Prep High and City College of New York. He became an English teacher and taught at St. Francis Xavier School in Park Slope where he met the love of his life Nancy. He worked as a court officer for over 30 years in Brooklyn and Long Island. He and Nancy were married for 35 years and had two beautiful children, Krista and Matthew. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar, working out, and rooting for the Cowboys, Reds, and Rangers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Genevieve. He will be missed by family and friends. Family will receive friends Monday, 2 pm – 4pm and 6 pm – 8 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 603 Wantagh Ave (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 10 am, at St. Frances de Chantal R.C. Church in Wantagh, NY. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, NY. www.osheafuneral.com
