I am in total shock!!! I have known this family for over three decades. Mama’s pizzeria and it’s owners were always a landmark of Copiague. My brother and I are truly saddened to hear of this. Sal, You used to always ask me about my brother and were happy to hear he was doing well! you were always a nice guy!! We will NEVER FORGET! May you rest easy with the Angels!

i was a patron of mama's. my beloved husband, who passed away earlier this year, enjoyed the food and we took out regularly over the years. although i do not know the pinello family intimately, each time i arrived at the restaurant, i was always greeted with an "hello" from the family. my prayers are with you. the news of your loss is sadly received. may salvatore pinello rest in peace.

Ron and I can’t begin to express our condolences over the loss of you precious son. We ask ourselves why something like this happened to such a handsome man who was loved by many!! There are no words for this tragedy. I have memories as a kid when you’d come to Aunt Nancy’s house, Nonno and Nonna’s house; loved when you did because you were always so fun and would make all of us cousins laugh!
