Janet M. Grimes born November 1, 1933 in Bellerose Terrace, NY to Michael and Mary Fanelli. Jan was called home on November 4, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving and beautiful wife to the late Robert J. Grimes, adored mother of Raquelle (Rickie) Miller and cherished grandmother of Corey Miller. Predeceased by her beloved brothers Robert S. Fanelli and Michael J. Fanelli. Jan moved to Wantagh in 1961 where she lived for 55 years before moving to North Carolina in 2016 to be with her daughter. She worked as a travel agent up until retirement in 1994. Jan was such a vivacious woman, loved by so many, it was said that, “if you met her, you would never forget her”! Jan will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
