I have known Kathy since 1989 - she was such a giving and loving person. I am shocked to hear of her passing. She worked so hard and always thought of others. Everything from working for the Town of Islip, to making gingerbread houses and chocolate for the holidays, to her Halloween witch extravaganza had giving to others at the core of it. I spoke with Kathy a few times about her faith and know she believed in Christ as her Savior. I am happy she is experiencing the joy of heaven with Him now. My condolences to her friends and family.

I have been friends w Kathy since 7th grade. I am very saddened to hear this. She was such a Beautiful person. I know she Rests In the Arms of God & Is At Peace. I pray you, her family, find strength, comfort, and peace during this time and whenever you think of her. May your Memories of her bring Smiles to your faces as they always will to mine.

I was very sorry and shocked to hear of Kathy's passing. We did not know each very long but kept in touch after we both left ML&B. My last email from her was on 8/25 of her telling me she had a job and was starting the next day and she was so happy. May she rest in peace.

I was devastated to hear of Kathy's death. I was waiting all week to get her annual photos of "the witch in the tree" from Halloween but of course none arrived. I hope the thousands of children she made happy over the years will remember her every Halloween.
I worked with Kathy at the Vladeck firm for many years and after she left we maintained our good friendship. We met regularly for dinners with other friends and always had lots of laughs and, knowing Kathy, complaints.
Kathy was the consummate artist when it came to chocolate. My children knew her as the "chocolate lollipop lady" as they were the recipients of her lollipops every Christmas for many years. Even after she left the Vladeck firm, she stopped by on her way to work and left me lollipops for all the people she knew. I felt like Santa Claus distributing them.
And then, for the favored few, she gave one of her fantastic Christmas houses. She once told me that since 1988 she made between 27-30 houses every year. Can you imagine all the work and expense involved in that.
I'm not a football fan but think of Kathy every time I see the Giants on TV. She was a diehard fan.
I will miss Kathy a lot and particularly at Christmas and on my birthday when her card will not arrive. But I will remember her lovingly.
My sincere condolences to all those who will miss her.
The photo above is Kathy at Jean Gallagher's 75th birthday party. So sad that both of them are now gone.
