I knew Donald for over twenty years. He was a gentleman in the true sense of the word. As an educator and scholar, he was loved by his students as well as his colleagues. If there were more people in this world like Donald, it would be a much better place to live. I will miss my conversations with him, his charm, warmth and sense of humor. Jonathan Lentz

Rosa has known Don for over 25 years. I’ve known Don for about 15 years. He was a gentlemen, true friend, great project manager, brilliant man but more importantly, all his friends and coworkers knew a loving husband and father. He will be truly missed. Rest In Peace our friend. Dan & Rosa Palino

Don was a great fraternity brother, Cooper Union colleague, and at one point a roommate in the frat house. He was a good man, a good driver, and always finished his milk at dinner (said that’s why he was so tall). Love the picture K-Man provided (on other site) with him playing with Bill the Cat (frat house cat). Condolences to his family. –Edward Fanter

It was a privilege to know Don over 30 years. He was such a nice, mild mannered person. He worked so hard and always willing to do more if he had to. I didn't see him as much anymore since we were in different Trane offices, but whenever we did meet up, it put a big smile on my face seeing him. I will miss him. Dear Don Rest in Peace. My prayers are with Carol and the kids and everyone who loved Don during this very difficult time.

Words can't truly say how Don will be missed. He was a gentle giant and loved and respected by all his colleagues. I learned so much from my more than 17 years working with Don. I know all who have had the pleasure of working with Don, learned so much from him. Rest in peace Don.

I have known Don for over 20 years. 1st as a contractor where Don did many of my Controls projects and as a colleague at Trane. He was a special type of person, a hard worker and all around good natured. He was always there for you. He will truly be missed.
