What do you say about a man you met 43 years ago that welcomed you wholeheartedly into his family? Dad and Mom became the best set of second parents I could have ever wished for.
So much has already been said about Dad and I agree one hundred percent with all of them. Here are some of my best memories. On Sunday mornings after their yard sale jaunts, Mom and Dad would stop by Carmans Road with bagels and ask for tea. Those were our best Sunday mornings.
After we moved to Salisbury Mills they would visit for a few days on the way to their vacation where Dad became acquainted with what he called our green monster (pull out couch). They would go out exploring and find places like the Maybrook flea market and Five Corners antique store before we did.
Dad will always be remembered with love and gratitude for his ears that listened, arm to hold and shoulder to lean on.
It is very comforting to think of Mom and Dad together again watching over all of us with love. It is always good to have angels on your side.

Thank you Uncle Jim for sharing your love, your home, and your family when four little girls, at a difficult time in their lives, needed it most. And then again, for sharing your kindness, wisdom, and understanding to five young women, when they needed a non-judgmental ear and lots of unconditional love.
And now as an adult, I hope that what I heard and saw from you all those years, stays with me forever so I can hopefully pass it on to my family.
Rest In Peace Uncle Jimmy. I love you and will miss you very much.
All My Love - Maureen

When I think of our dad I see a kind gentle loving forgiving man who loved his family with all his heart and soul there are no words to express the sadness and pain I feel in my heart. Every time I think of never seeing you again or hearing your voice I can’t imagine not getting your phones calls checking on me and my family making sure all is well. I would wonder how it would feel when you were both gone and it’s worse then I could ever imagine. I will miss your loving hugs and I love you Thankyou for being the best dad we could have ever asked for for loving us guiding us and believing in us we are only who we are because of you and mom. Give mom a kiss for me. Until we meet again watch over us all as you always have and always will I will miss you forever love you Dee

We are all so lucky to have had you in our lives and now in our hearts for the rest of our time here on the Earth. Christina and baby James only had the chance to know you for a short time but they could feel how much you loved your family wether they were born into it, married into it, or adopted into it. It breaks my heart to know we will never have another four generation of James’s picture. That we can’t just drop by to say hello or have the shortest phone calls (ever) to check in. And yet somehow still feel so much warmth and gratitude for knowing we were thinking of you.
We love you Pop Pop. You’ve always been so proud of the people we have become and families we have built, but we are so honored to have such an amazing man as you; as our Pop Pop. Your legacy is inspiring and we will always keep your memory alive every day, with every story, every hug, every lesson we teach our children. For you Pop Pop and Nanny the story will never end. It just grows with every branch on the family tree.
Love you forever,
Little Jimmy, Christina, and Baby James

It is with great sadness that we want to inform our Post Members and friends that long time member and Past Commander James Boyle passed away early this morning. We will pass along the funeral details when they become available. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Post in Jimmy's name.

They say those who touch our lives stay in our hearts forever. Although I only had the privilege of meeting Mr. Boyle a few times, he made me feel welcome and part of the family. I enjoyed my conversations at the kitchen table and listening to him reminisce on a variety of things. Every time I left he would shake my hand and tell me to take care of his girl. I will miss those moments, and treasure them. He definitely loved the life he lived.

Pops life lessons to us was a phrase he expressed at times of sadness
"You're going to have lots of friends in your life, but your family will be yours for a lifetime. You won't always talk to each other. But even then, you'll love them. And if you need someone, that's who you'll call."

Dad
You are the guiding light of our life. The rock we could lean on. We stand on your shoulders. You are the wind beneath our wings. You are everything we hoped to grow up to be. Mom & you opened your home to the many and asked nothing in return. You were all about Family. Saying you will never be lost or alone as long as that bond is strong. I will miss the phone calls, visiting & having tea at the kitchen table. Even if some times you would hand us our hat look at your watch ask if we wanted to get ahead of traffic. (LOL).
God Bless you Pops - I love you!
Your Son Jimmy
