Obituary

Kropf, John T.. 89 of East Meadow went with peace in his heart to be with the Lord on March, 27, 2021. Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Lila Marie Foltz-Kropf. Warmhearted and supportive father of Peggy Brady (fiance’ Phil Canfora),Catherine Harris (Richard), Diane Lebedz (Scott) and the late Patricia Marie Kropf. Adoring grandfather of Tara Brady Williamson III (James), Justine and Bryan Lebedz and John Harris. Born in Flushing, New York, he was the only child of John and Antoinette Kropf. John was a graduate of New York University and served in the US Navy during the Korean War; he was honorably discharged in April 1952. His love of family and their boundless love for him brought him joy and happiness every single day. He was a longtime teacher in the East Meadow School District, first teaching driver’s education at East Meadow High School before retiring as a health teacher from Woodland Junior High School in 1988. He coached basketball, umpired baseball and was a seasonal New York State Police Officer at Jones Beach. John was an active parishioner of St. Raphael’s Church in East Meadow since 1958. Visitation Tuesday, March 30, 2021 At Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 2515 N. Jerusalem Road, East Meadow, NY from 4pm-8pm. Funeral Mass is Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 9:45 am at St. Raphael’s Church, 600 Newbridge Road, East Meadow, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in John’s beloved memory.
