Obituary

ARENA – Frank A. of East Islip, NY passed away peacefully on March 19, 2021, at the age of 91. Devoted son of Mary Arena. Beloved husband of Julia. Loving father of Frank (Julie) and Marietta Costa (Anthony). Cherished PopPop of Gabrielle, Grant, Frankie, Remie, Jake, Noah, and Jillian. Dedicated Elementary School Teacher for 58 years at the Babylon School District. Frank was a faithful volunteer and served as the proud former President and District Governor of the Babylon Lions Club, President of East Islip Board of Education, Director of the Teachers Federal Credit Union, and long time President of the Babylon Teachers Union. In addition to spending time with his family, Frank loved cruises, classical music, and reading three newspapers daily. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Lions Club International Foundation at WWW.LIONSCLUBS.ORG Family will receive friends Sunday, 2 pm – 6 pm, at the Albrecht, Bruno & O’Shea Funeral Home, 62 Carleton Avenue (2 Miles South Exit 43A SS PKWY) East Islip, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 9:45 am, at St. Mary’s R.C. Church. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery. www.osheafuneral.com
