HORISHNY, Nancy 65 of North Bellmore, NY on February 28, 2021.
Survived by her loving friend, companion and husband of over 37 years Ted
Loving mother of Ashley and Brandon (Sarah). Sister of Joseph Sorrentino of Hudson, Fl. Aunt of Kimberley Horishny of Fountain Hills, Az and Meredith LoPresti of Bethlehem, Pa. Retired North Bellmore Schools Teaching Assistant. Past co president Jacob Gunther Elementary School PTA. Triple cancer survivor and relentless champion to find a cure for Brest cancer. One of the organizer of the North Bellmore Paraprofessionals support of the Making Strides Campaign and co organizer of the Annual "Save Second Base" breast cancer fundraiser held at Jeremy's Ale House, Freeport with all proceeds going to Memorial Sloan Kettering for research. Nancy was a well respected colleague and leader among her peers and in the community. She was a friend to many, smiled often and cared about the well being of her friends and colleagues. She loved the beach, relaxing at a winery and cooking for friends and family. She will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends Friday March 5th , 6-8 pm and Saturday March 6th 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Charles O'Shea Funeral Home, 2515 N. Jerusalem Rd. (Exit 25N SS PKWY) East Meadow.
