My deepest condolences to Maryanne's family. As the news of her passing swept across the agency at South Shore the memories about her kindness, sweetness and dedication to her families were shared with many tears. Maryanne loved her work, which is why she was so good at it. She touched and helped so many heal during her career. When reviewing cases for assignment we would often say in unison "That's a Maryanne case", which meant the case needed nothing but the best, most experienced and naturally talented therapist, which is what she was. It took several phone calls and lots of talking to convince her kids and their parents to be reassigned when we knew she would be out for a while, as they all wanted to wait for her return. I understood how they felt as I was also eagerly waiting her return. She was my steady, trusted go to many times when needing consultation about protocol and leadership. Always willing to share her experience and knowledge. She was my colleague and friend. Rest Maryanne, for a while, because I am sure if you are able, you will continue your work however you can from wherever your beautiful soul is.
