I feel Blessed & very fortunate to have known Ken. Being from Boston, I moved to Long Island & met him through friends .. From day one I knew he was a First Class guy all the way. Always willing to help anyone who needed it, Laugh? We would laugh so hard until tears were coming out, many many cookouts/parties w him and his beautiful wife Susan either at his place or ours in E Northport w Mary Ellen. Prayers for Susan, & the whole family.. RHIH Ken. Jimi Gibbs Az.

To the family of Ken Kelly I offer my deepest condolences. The relationship Ken and I shared goes back 50 years though the Marine Corps and the NYPD.
Ken was first class in all his personal and professional endeavors. He always seemed to be in good spirits and full of life.
The Marine Corps operations that we participated in together were serious, but always seemed to result in great laughter and terrific memories.
And when he was a member of the NYPD Bomb Squad I saw him exhibit his courage, expertise, and wisdom, on many occasions.
Just one small example of Ken’s empathy for anyone who needed help: In a driving snow storm, off duty and alone, I saw him put himself in a very dangerous situation to help a stranded motorist.
That was Ken, someone you could rely on: in the NYPD, in the Marine Corps, in his business, in his private life. He always went the extra mile.
He was a good friend, I will miss him. Ray Kelly

I would like to extend my sincere condolences for your loss. Ken touched the lives and brightened the days of so many of the men and women he served with in the service of his country. I will truly miss him. Ken was a man I admired for his moral character and integrity. I will cherish the memories we shared serving in the 42nd Infantry Division together. Please understand that you are not alone because we share your sorrow and deeply sympathize with you. May the Lord give you strength for today and comfort in the days ahead. Russel Lay

Uncle Ken, I have nothing but great memories of you and all the fun we had on twin lane. We fell out of touch but I am glad that we were able to talk not to long ago. To the rest of the Kelly family, my thoughts and prays are with you during this time. Your Godson, Andrew.
