It is a sad day in Merrick, loosing our young lady, Diane! She always was a special young woman! The friendship my daughter, Jennifer shared with her and their other friends from Calhoun High School was unique and lasting. She was a fighter. Our Condolences to all.

I only knew Diane a short time when I started playing pickle ball last winter. She was my first real pickle ball friend and her radiance and most friendly personality will stay with me always. I played many matches with her and Walter and she will be dearly missed. My heartfelt sympathies to her family for such an untimely loss. DAVID PEARL.

The most selfless person that ever was. The last thing Diane said to me was that life was a “beautiful struggle” and how much she loved me. I will hold that dear to me forever. Diane lit up every room that she walked into. She was an amazing woman who fought so hard. She positively effected everybody she met with her inspiring attitude and beautiful smile. I remember when I was little I used to look up to Diane for being on a soccer team as an adult. She was always so passionate about the things she loved. She was a second mother to me for a big part of my life and I’ll never forgot all the memories I shared with her. All my love to Diane and her family. May she always shine like the sun.

Diane exhuberated energy from the moment that I met her, at RS Jones, so many years ago. Always with a smile and full of energy to dance. She was always "up" even at the times she must've been very down.
Her spirit for life was unending. I will always remember her for that, as she always gave inspiration to me, during my own battles.
Diane's smile and zest for life will always live on and should be an inspiration for others. My thoughts and prayers are with her children, Scott and her loving family.
