What a shock it was to learn of Tom's passing. Tom was such a joy to have as a friend and, to our St. Raphael community, as a leader, teacher, an exemplar of all that we believe. He was a foundational volunteer to the Religious Education program, starting in the first years of Fr. Dan Hurley's pastor-ship and continuing to teach and volunteer in other ways, essentially to the end of his wonderful life. I, Arlene, during my years as director of Religious Education, could call on Tom to teach classes year after year and pitch in to help with sacramental events. His response was always, “Yes!” Cheerfully, “Yes.” And for the two of us personally, he was a great friend, full of joy. We have no doubt that he heard God's words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” To Arleen and the kids, we pray that you will find some solace in those words. He was a wonderful man. – Arlene and John Vosilla

I was extremely sad to hear of the loss of our Wonderful Brother Knight Tom Donovan. When we got to a meeting we always laugh about our Grand Kids and how they made us glow with pride. I will miss him dearly. May god have saved a special place for him in heaven for he definitely deserves it.

What can we say at moments like this? Moments when someone whom we care about has left us. Tom has given us wonderful memories. He always made people feel better about themselves, and I think most of all I will miss Tom’s smile and laughter. He has been a wonderful gift to us and we will all miss him. However, his life and the people whom he touched will live on.
Tom, until we’re together again.
Arleen, PLEASE know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathy Arleen to you and all your family. Tom was a terrific guy, always enjoyed seeing him. One of my funniest memories was him telling me he was going to be 69 days before his surprise 70th party. Had to call and verify. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Cathy and Don Hoeffner.
