I just learned of Father Callan’s going home to the Lord, and I send my condolences to his entire family. As one of the Eucharistic Ministers at NYU/Winthrop Hospital, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Father a couple of years ago while he was filling in for the Priest on vacation. What a joy it was to work with him! When I would ask him to visit a patient for Confession or help in bringing Holy Communion, he joyfully, eagerly and immediately was on his way to serve. What an outstanding Priest he was and with such a great personality! It was an honor to know him. Thank you, Father Callan, and may you rest in peace. God bless your beautiful heart and soul! My family and I will cherish all the memories and sacraments we shared with Uncle Pat, Father Callan. He was a true blessing to the entire family! We love you Uncle Pat! You will forever be missed!
