Obituary Part 1

We mourn the passing of our devoted mother and grandmother, Mary Alice Vinci who passed away peacefully on May 18, 2020 at the age of 94 joining her late husband Joseph Vinci. Alice was an incredible woman who saw the best in everyone around her. She was hard working and intelligent, always pushing and motivating her children and grandchildren to meet their potential for success in their education, family lives, and careers. She was an avid reader and perpetual student who loved to learn new things, meet people, travel, and share her life experience with others. Alice leaves behind her 3 children, Karen, Nora, and Steven along with their spouses James, Alex, and Dorothy. Alice was a proud grandmother to Joseph, Steven, Krysa, and Nicole and took her step-grandchildren Melissa, Kimberly, and Amanda in as her own as well. She was a doting great-grandmother to Anthony, Devin, Alexa, Samantha, Gabriella, Gianna, Alessia, Brianna, and Emma.

Obituary Part 2

Alice was born on November 1, 1926 in New York, NY. Always family oriented and loving, even as a young girl, she left high school to help support and take care of her family after losing her father. She married Joseph DeGraziano in 1945 and was a loving mother to Karen, Nora, and Steven. She returned to school when her children were young to obtain her high school diploma and then continued her education for many years thereafter. Not surprisingly given her compassionate nature she began a career in healthcare as a nurse. She worked hard continuing to pursue her education and share her passion for helping others. She lead a successful nursing career in which she became a nursing supervisor, hospital administrator, and finally vice president of Jamaica hospital in Queens, NY. After the death of her first husband Joseph in 1985 she remarried in 1988 to Joe Vinci shortly after retirement. She shared her golden years with Joe celebrating and experiencing life while watching her loving family and extended family grow. Alice will be missed dearly and will remain forever in our hearts as the wonderful, compassionate, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and person in which she was. Rest in peace.
