We miss you so much Gram ❤️ I was always so happy to bring Winnie over on Sundays and watch you light up as she made herself at home. You made her just as happy as she made you! There are so many great memories I have with you and I wish we could make more. Tell Grandpa I said hello and have fun hanging out with Nana and Poppy.
Love, Katie, JJ & Winnie

Dear Sharon, Joey, Linda, Robert and Barbara,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your dear Mom Louise. All who write about her on this blog reflect the same emotions, a caring. loving woman who treated everyone wonderfully. I might add that she had the patience of a saint, honed by all us kids and myself specifically.
During the summer, we were around all the time, full of energy and spending uncountable hours playing wiffle ball in the driveway. Though we became very skilled and hitting the ball into the narrow corridor of the driveway, we invariably would hit the house wall of even the window in the corner of the house. And never a cross word from her.
Whether wiffle ball, basketball or the pool, if we ever got a little out of hand, you got the "look" and just a word, maybe two, and that was enough to know we should settle down. And if Louise gave you the look, you deserved it!
It's quite a privilege to have grown up next door to Joe and Louise, as they helped make the neighborhood a great place with their energy and caring for us all. Now they are back together and have left quite a legacy based on values and caring for one another. They knew how well those enduring qualities would serve us in the future.
God bless you Louise, Joe and all the Cookies!

Aunt Lou,
You were always the warmest most welcoming person. You had the biggest heart and I will always remember my fondest childhood memories of going to your house. You always said I was welcome to anything in your “junk” drawer. It was like a treasure trove to me! I will always remember your personalized birthday cards, complete with stickers up to my 50s! You were taken from us because Uncle Joe missed you and now you are having fun with everyone like back when I was a kid. Love you so much. Say hi to Uncle Joe, Nana and Grandpa and my Dad and Mom. I’m sure they’ll make you do a shot of that nasty Carstairs whiskey! A toast to you in Heaven! Xoxo

To our dear Louise and Aunt Lou to so many, We will always remember her warmth, sparkling blue eyes and big hugs. In the early years riding our bikes from Bellmore to the campgrounds to visit, she always made each of us feel so welcome. Her big heart was evident in her tiny frame when she smiled and greeted us with a warm “Cookie or Doll!” Whether sharing a Milky Way bar and cutting it into eight pieces so everyone could have a taste or generously sharing whatever she had, we will forever and fondly remember her kindness! At Fairyland she hugged us on the roller coaster so tightly, I can still feel her love. (Looking back she was probably petrified!). For our tenth birthdays she would say how special it was to be double digits! We will all miss our annual birthday cards or phone calls. No matter how old we were, it was always one of our favorite gifts. We all have lovely stories of her beautiful soul and kind heart! She had such grace about her and the the ability to make everyone feel so special. She will be greatly missed by many! Rest In Peace dear Louise until we meet again! Dear Joe, Sharon,Linda, Barbara and Robert,
I am so sorry for your loss, your mom
was a sweet and wonderful person. My
favorite memory was how she could always keep me occupied with her kitchen junk draw. It seemed she always
had it stocked with something different
each time. I am so thankful I was able to spend a little time with her a couple of
months ago.
Love you all. God bless you Aunt Lou
