Obituary

Anita Levi (nee Massaro) July 26, 1931-April 29, 2020 It is with broken hearts we mourn the passing of our loving and cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Anita Levi. She was born in Brooklyn to Rose and Angelo Massaro and raised with sisters Rose, Madeline, Marie, Elizabeth, Mildred, and brother Ralph. Anita married the love of her life Prospero (Red) Levi and worked as a secretary until they started a family. Eventually, they moved to Woodhaven, Queens to raise their family as well as care for her mother. They were married for 46 years until our father’s passing in 1998. At that time, she moved to Wantagh where she enjoyed crocheting and crafting many items for family and friends, as well as shopping, dining out and going to her neighborhood senior club. She loved being with people and had a good sense of humor. Most of all she loved being with her family. She is survived by her devoted children Debra (George), Patricia (Michael), Dominick (Diana). Cherished grandchildren Dina (Corey), Jared (Jessica), Michael, Briana (Evan), Daria, Alexa, Ciara and Tyler. Adored great-grandchildren Taylor, Angelina and Kayleigh. Dearest niece Doreen (Kevin) and Alyssa. She will be missed by her sister Madeline, brother-in-law Angelo, sister-in-law Nancy many nieces and nephews as well as the nurses and staff who remained by her side. She is now resting peacefully with our dad along with family and friends that have gone before her. May their reunion be joyous. Mom you will always be in our hearts.

A Memorial Service will be Scheduled at a Later Date
