Joan (Joanie) was part of my life since the day we moved into the house next door. A "regular" at our kitchen table, she shared more than just coffee and Danish with my parents, she shared our lives. Part friend, part second-mother, she was with us through everything. She will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.

Nana always made sure that I had a pocketbook and a pretty dress, because I was a "little lady". She was so proud of her 5 great - granddaughters. <3 I will miss you.

Nana you always made the best corn fritters! I’ll always remember sneaking them before dinner was ready. Love and miss you
