Obituary

HERVAN – Joseph William of Levittown, NY on November 18, 2019 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Adele. Loving father of Joseph, Debra Havranek (Allan), and Steven (Carolyn Silvers). Cherished by his 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his 3 siblings. Dedicated Ex-Captain of the East Meadow Fire Dept. Engine 3, former Board Member of the East Meadow Fire Dept. Benevolent Association, and Nassau County Fire Marshall. An avid history buff, Joseph was a member of the Son’s of Union Veterans. Family will receive friends Thursday, 7-9 pm, and Friday, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Ave. (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, 10:30 am, at St. Bernard R.C. Church. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
