I have known Ralph since I was a kid. I always liked him. My most vivid memory of him at that time was discussing the pennant race at my Aunt Fran's house in September 1974. He tried in vain to disavow me of the notion that the Yankees were going to win it. It made a big impression on me that everything that he said turned out be correct.

Ralph was a devoted and loyal employee at The Town of Hempstead Housing. He was always ready and willing to help everyone. He was a confident, soft spoken man - very proud of his family. Ralph will live in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him and call him friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lorene, Ralph Jr., Deborah, Christine, Patricia and their families. To me I cannot just put one memory on paper. This amazing man and proud father spent his lifetime each day teaching his incredible loving children the true meaning of “family”. He embraced every single moment of each day making sure he surrounded himself by his family. He taught all of us that the meaning of true life is to love and cherish your family..He may not have been my dad by blood but I was proud to call this beautiful amazing man “ My Dad” There was so much I missed in my life growing up and he was such an amazing person to let me into his little secret. I have so many fond memories and I am ever so grateful he accepted me into this family which I will be forever grateful for. I promise you dad you made me who I am today and although my father left me early you were always there for me to give me what was missing. I love you always! I truly do! You gave me my beautiful wife and children and a family for life. You will always be there leading the way each day for all of us. I know that this is the only thing that will get all of us through this. Your children are you and you will always be with us each day. I will dearly miss you so much each day.. everything I do will remind me of you but hopefully we all can turn those tears into tears of joy. We love you forever Dad!! You WILL be with us each day of the rest of all of our lives. Thank you Dad always. Love you to death! I know you were a man of few words but I think you would make an exception for this comment.see you one day to thank you in person with a hug....
