Many wonderful memories from so long ago. May we take comfort in believing that you are resting in God's care, along with our friends and relatives from Brooklyn, Patterson, clear out to California. And all of those loving dogs who were waiting for you to come home...

Grandpa,
I’m so lucky to have had you in my life and in my memories. From the gatherings at Levittown and Oakdale to the fishing trips and bowling events, school concerts, graduations, and holidays, you were always there.
You have made such memorable impressions with so many people. Family, friends, and acquaintances all have been honored to have known you. You even made it to a TV commercial with your charm on full display!
You always had a warm personality, filled us with laughter and love, and treated us with compassion and respect.
Your life is worth celebrating and you will be missed.
Love,
Brian & Charlene Podstupka

I had the honor of knowing Joe through my daughter in law Laura and her lovely family. Joe was always there with a smile and a nice word. His jokes were hysterical. I remember spending time with him and his wife Kitty at their home in Sayville. This man had a vegetable garden that I could only dream of and let’s not talk about his famous rice pudding. For years he wouldn’t give out the recipe but as he got older he passed down the recipe to the family. Thank you Joe for your friendship and for the wonderful memories we shared together. God bless you and keep you safe. Love Lori
