As 2/25's Radio Chief, he helped to ensure that his Section was second to none in the Marine Corps. These efforts contributed to every member of the Battalion returning home from Iraq in 2003.
He and his family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Joe was my cousin, a great friend, another brother, and my little buddy. We spent many summer days in the village of Stony Brook near the “docks” and marina. The fishing was great and the water amazing. At high tide we would jump off those same docks into the water and then gather up our money and grab an ice cream shake at the local soda shop.
Years later, when we recalled those times down at the “docks” we understood that it was perfect. Like magic. Something that just never seemed to leave our memories. Unbelievably great times spent as a youth in that picturesque town. You laughed and smiled about it as only you could. Joe I will miss you dearly but like you always said “those Norman Rockwell days down at the docks will be forever in my heart”. Love you cuz.

We are so very sorry to hear about your loss. We have such wonderful memories of Joe-- he was a very special neighbor to us. He would always wave to his girls at the door before he pulled away in his car. When Max was a puppy and even throughout his older years, he would always have him out front running around while he was doing his yardwork. I always found it amazing that he trained Max so well that he never needed a leash! One thing my sister always admired was that Joe always had all their Christmas lights up within an hour, even on the peak of the house!
Rest in Peace. Our thoughts and prayers will be with his family and friends from this day, going forward.

Dear Joe,
May you rest in peace. To all the great times we had on duty at Comm Platoon at Garden City (Marines) and off duty when we would hang. You know we had the best time. I was so glad we had a small reunion a few years ago. You will be missed my fellow Marine, my fellow officer and my friend.
