Dearest Robert-We had a lot in common. During the summer and winter get togethers we always enjoyed your company, a cocktail or two, good music and a good political discussion. I'm glad I got to spend an Easter and Christmas with you. Rest in peace my friend.

Dearest Robert,
There were so many good times we shared I can't pinpoint just one that stands out above the rest because they were all the best of times. From our vacations to Bermuda and New Orleans to your visiting me in Hong Kong - I'll cherish all them all. I always learned something new from you too - how to appreciate films or a new point of view on politics. I am going to miss you and your Happy Valentine's texts. I will keep you in my heart forever, I will never forget you. XO Donna

I have such vivid memories of going by Aunt Jeans for the holidays when I was a kid, and always wanting to go "hang out" downstairs in Robert's basement...and ALWAYS getting kicked out because the "adults" wanted to do something down there. You will be missed,Cousin Robert, but never forgotten. Oh and When you see her up there in Heaven, Please tell Gracie we Love and miss her so very much and think of her very often.

Words cannot express my sadness at losing my wonderful, lifelong friend. Robert, when you wished me a happy birthday on Sunday and asked about my health battle I had no idea that you were fighting a battle of your own. But that's the kind of friend you were... always caring, always selfless, always kind. Doreen, I hope you find comfort in knowing that someone as special as Robert will never be forgotten by those of us who loved him.

I might not have known you as well or as long as my father, but he always spoke highly of you, Jimmy and Gene. My personal favorite is the story of my dad and Jimmy Myers getting banned from your apartment because they kept laughing at inappropriate times. Rest easy Rob. “See you on the dark side of the moon.”

Robert,
I am shocked and stunned, as I never doubted that you would pull through. Am very grateful to have had you as the dearest of friends for nearly 48 years, since we met in high school. I sensed from the time we met that you were different from the other kids. Your hair was way longer, you were a talented and creative photographer (I had never met someone that had his own dark room) skilled in the Martial Arts...very different and unique compared to the rest of us lugs.
How do you start to describe nearly 50 years of friendship? Some great memories...
-- The Rockaways beach house! Thanks Doreen for letting us knuckleheads hang with you and your friends. Boy we were heads back then....Thankfully we realized it was time to grow up.
-- The Virginia Beach Vacation
-- The insubordinate actions of Jim Myer when we all worked at ABC!
A lifetime of laughs and fond memories that I will treasure.
You were taken far too early from us my good friend. Rest easy,
Until we meet again brother...

Rob you were a part of a special group the “Grover Cleveland Four.” You never passed judgement on anyone. From Mr. Osobee’s film class to talking about what the future could hold. You are in eternity and at peace. Love you for being part of my life.

Dear Baby Brother, there are no words to describe how much you will be missed. We have been partners in crime from the time you would stare through the bars of your crib for me to help you escape. We are so lucky to always have cherished each other and to have supported each other and our parents. I'm lucky to have had you. You will be missed greatly, I'm not sure the hole in my heart will ever be filled. I hope you are at peace in Heaven with Mommy and Daddy. I will miss you forever and hope we meet again.
Love,
Doreen
