Jason was a wonderful person. I knew him through his DJing. I saw him perform several times. The two most notable were at the 1992-1993 event in Philly (Where my late friend Chris "Lixx" Ibsen also performed along with Break Beat Science's Dara) where I remember hearing him play Blame "Are you dreaming" on Moving Shadow 24. This was amusing to me as I had only just gotten that EP in the mail myself that month. Whenever I hear that particular track I immediately think of Jason. The last time I heard him play was at Scott Osmon's "NASA Rewind" party where he played a late 1991, early 1992 set which was very enjoyable.
Unfortunately the opportunity to visit Jason one last time has passed so I'll leave this comment instead. RIP Jason, I really enjoyed the fact that you were here and left a meaningful impression on me.

What an unbearable loss! Jason, you obviously touched so many with your mixing and your kindness. Although I remember your legendary sets at many of the early rave parties and your name on so many fliers for years, I don't think I met you til five years ago at HamiltonFest, the annual free party Randy Christie did for several years (now called Summer Jam).
As soon as I met you, you offered me a beer, and then blew us away from the little stage that Randy brought us great headliners on for free every year. Then we had a blast dancing again to your set at the afterparty. A bunch of us went to breakfast before you had to take the train back to your dog in NY.
I never did see you in person again after that, but was hoping you would play some other big parties, like the Fever reunion party, and you know I really lobbied to get you on that lineup. You should have been there...period, but you were very gracious about the outcome, regardless. Wish I could have seen you spin again, but I'm glad so many pix of you are posted, along with your awesome mixes! I'm hoping my sister will be able to play one or part of one during her radio show in Chicago. ;))) We'll see!
Please rest easy, Jason! You will always be missed by many! Your wonderful spirit and creative legacy will endure forever!!
