I was very saddened to hear of Mr. D's passing.
Although I'd only known him for a couple of years he was like family.
And permitted me to feel that way when I would chastise him for not buttoning up the top buttons of his shirt or jacket when we were outside in the cold.
He would protest that he was more comfortable that way but would smile as I buttoned him up.
I will always be reminded of him every time I see a can or bottle of ENSURE.
I would periodically call to ask if he was following instructions to drink the beverage to keep up his strength and energy when he didn't feel like eating anything. We'd discuss the various flavors - I believe he had a favorite or two.
He'd always say he was or was about to.
I enjoyed listening to his stories of the past and of changed times.
He was a sweetheart of a gent!!
My condolences to the family

So many cherished memories:
- Christmas Eves at the Diliberti house with that same mix tape every year cranking out through his Bose speakers.
- The guy just loved to BBQ chicken that was soaking in 20 parts garlic to some olive oil. Be sure to dunk the chicken back in that marinade after each bite….but then again, I think he also loved to nibble on raw chop meat (the secrets to a long life).
- Speaking of BBQ’s, getting excited for that chicken during a July BBQ to be met instead with a huge pot of “sauce” and meatballs instead….just as yummy.
- The pride he had for his vegetable gardens.
- The pride he had for his Fiat (though I didn’t see that car move too often).
- How he endlessly teased his sister-in-law Lorraine (and his smile as he did that).
- Coming to visit us in Florida to see the dogs race.
- Louis Prima..."Oh Marie!"
We're sorry we couldn't make up to Long Island. Rest easy Leo…smiling thinking about you together again with Rosalie. Salute!

Praying for the Lord to wrap you in his arms and bring you home to your Beloved Rosalie so that you will be together for all eternity. You don’t know me but I know you because I’m in the choir and your beautiful Donna always had wonderful and loving words of you. God bless you as you look upon all and know how much love there is from everyone.
