Heaven gained an angel; you're home, Grandad. You're finally resting in peace & no longer in pain. You suffered for too long. Words can't describe the loss we all feel. When I think of bravery, intelligence, faith, and family, I think of you. I will miss you like you wouldn't believe, but I am beyond grateful that I was able to say goodbye. Hey Grandad, I just want to thank you for being such an amazing grandad. You were always so kind and joyful even during hard times. I never saw you without a smile on you face and I love you so much. I really enjoyed all the wonderful memories we made together playing cards, chess, and even just watching movies together after school. I will cherish those unforgettable moments with you forever. I’m sorry that I never got to play pinochle with you and look forward to it in the future. I will never forget the time when we were playing cards and you called me an empty barrel. You told me that empty barrels made the most noise. I am praying for you and I know that you are with me always. It was an honor to have you as my Grandad. Hey Granddad, I just want to thank you for everything you have done for me; I just want to tell you how much I love you and how eternally grateful I am to you. Jack has given us all a gentle memory of the best of life found in loving God, country and family. He leaves us all with the need to finish the journey with positive hope and the eternal promise of seeing him and the Lord in the twinkling of an eye. For now that he has finished his job on earth, we all must fill the void with ongoing work and prayer.

My Heartfelt condolences to the entire Bergersen Family. God Bless you all. Mr. Bergersen and I shared the same Birthday and I always enjoyed that as a child. He was there for me and my family when my own father passed away in the early 80's in which I will forever be grateful. Thank you for setting an example for us all and thank you to all the Bergersens for sharing this amazing man with the world.
