Mr Amato Leone was our neighbor who we looked up to with our utmost respect. He would stop to talk about his long walks to Target and what he brought back. He was an inspiration to Paul’s parents and my mom. We always looked forward to seeing him. We are sorry we didn’t see this sooner and missed the wake. We were there in spirit.

I grew up with you and did everything with you. I will always talk of and think of you with happy memories. I'm so thankful you lived so long to see me graduate college and get my Master's degree, get my career, get married make you a great-grandfather to Joseph and Francesca, whom you loved so much. To all of the Leone Family, We are so sorry for the loss of Amato. He was such a wonderful man and we feel privileged to have had the pleasure of meeting him. We will continue our prayers for the repose of his soul and for all of you. Also keeping Ann in our special prayers.

Mr. Leone was one of the last of the "Great Generation." There are not many of them left any more. I was a little girl who lived on the same block as he in a very tight knit neighborhood in Brooklyn. Mr. Leone was a very sweet, caring person who loved his wife, his son Jack and his daughter Debra who preceded him in death. Many years later Mr. Leone was able to welcome grandchildren and great grandchildren. I will remember him always as a part of the generation who remained ever faithful and loving to his family and his Country. Godspeed you on your journey into Paradise. Rest in peace, Mr. Leone.
