Dear Wayne, Greg, Donna and Wanda,
It is so sad to know of your father’s passing. I can’t imagine the sorrow you must all feel.
Your dad was one of the first people I met when I came to my first reunion in accompaniment of my mother in 2003. I still remember the stories he told me of his service to our country and the pride he had in his scrapbook that he made of the day the ship sunk and his time in combat.
The photos he shared of the sinking of the Anthony helped me to really understand the experience my dad had that day. I could finally see what my dad had told me about before he passed. I am truly grateful for his willingness to share those items with me.
He was such a treasure to me and all of your extended family of the “Susie B” group. I am thankful to you for helping him come all these many years and to the friendships we formed as we accompanied our parents to these gatherings..
I think of you all as Family!
Please be blessed and stay in touch. Our next reunion will be in Cincinnati and I hope to see you there.
Tim

Dear Greg and Weber Family. There are too many wonderful memories of Opa to list them all here. We always thought of Larry as a part of our family also. A wonderful, thoughtful, loving man. I will always remember the stories he would tell our children up in Newcomb or his helpful caring advice he would always have for us in Levittown. A great family man, leader and of course, brave WWII veteran and member of the Greatest Generation. He will be missed and never forgotten.

Our condolences to the family of our long standing friend and neighbor Larry. The two things we have always loved about Newcomb were the natural beauty and the great neighbors we have. We thank the Lord for his life and his Service to our country.

I will always remember our visits to New York and staying at Uncle Larry's house. He was always so welcoming to us from the time we were toddlers to adults. He never forgot any of my 63 birthdays or 32 anniversaries.I always wished that Minnesota wasn't so far away so that we could have spent more time with him.I am sure my parents and Catherine are happy to have him back with them in heaven! Our prayers are with you Wayne,Wanda,Donna, and Greg.
